It was a great morning especially if you see it nearly 2-3 months later. I was rather compelled to see that morning which I always miss to see as my maid came very early on yesterday morning. I love tea and unless I get up early I could not get that made by her which usually below bar of my standards. But the sack of my laziness I don’t want to make it myself and had to wake up to get that and habitually my toothbrush with age old toothpaste on its surface went into mouth as it’s the first thing I do with the news paper in front of my glassless eyes. I opened the door and ohhhhnoooo again a stupid fellow took my newspaper and forced me to open the television as I get very bored in brushing my teeth for such a long time. Suddenly everywhere in news channels there was some white smoke all around with a peculiar sound of people-talk (not the conversation for sure) going on. For a piece of second I thought the visibility or the TV video has some problem as voice was very clear but visibility wasn’t. And that very point of time a killer missile zoom along on its carrier 'a heavy tank'. OMG this is parade of Republic Day in cruel fog, which doesn’t understand what kind of Showbiz it is. Oh it is Republic day or our very own “chabbis janvary”(not January). I just forget the great day when Free India became Republic of India.
I was always an average student of Civics (part of history or social science whatever), god knows why they study so much in deep in 6-8 standards. But a question explode in my mind what actually a republic is, it is the same question which arises when I see my passport (usually for indentity proof)which I got after paying hefty 2500 instead 1000 Rs to the government. I thought it is the correct day for Wiking it, I just Wikied it and found the first line—
“A republic is a form of government in which the head of state is not a monarch and the people (or at least a part of its people) have an impact on its government.”
I thought mmmm yes that’s what called republic and we, in India with the help of this 3 hr long showcase, want to show that Mr/Mrs President you are not a god damn monarch, we are saluting you because you deserve to be there and we have made you this much powerful. Oh! Is that really true? Is the person so powerful or is there any different story in here?
I will analyze according to definition
Form of Government—---I don’t think there is any kind of government in this country. Don’t we are anarchical in so many states and finding ourselves within 3Ls snatching person (Land, Leverage, Lust). Is that for we are enjoying ourselves.
Head of state is not A Monarch—---Basic need of Republic my friend is non-monarchy and 90% of these 60 yrs the same family ruled us (not served us rather ruled) or supported persons to rule us. I started counting and found that only 11 out of 14 powerful states has or had in last government, persons who belong to The Families. If big states have this pattern you could better think of small states. More than 70% of our MPs belong to Families and we are non-Monarch state.
Don’t blame the system think about ourselves, it’s we who support the families happily and feel secure because we were 546 small states before becoming a nation and most of us are lineage of the persons who had their head down before the Crown. Forget about a moment the secular and non secular fiasco, BJP was one of the non family head of government but why we eventually go for BABA and Maji. Because we like to bow head and don’t like any one of us to go in that position to destroy the monarchy system. Rather we love to elect one monarch against other, one family over other. That’s Democracy to show your power of Vote and election but that’s not republic.
Impact on the Government--—Should I elaborate it? just go and shop in Marvari vala shop or parchun vala shop you will get a better idea what the impact we have on government.
We are only mascot and the numbers to get counted and decide which Family is going to run this country. Don’t pull the leg of those who want to make name Republic of India true in its actual meaning.
hufffffff bhasad…no I actually reminded my 26 Jan speech 10 yrs ago, any ways my Tea was chilled then thinking all this. I had to bow my head in front of my maid today to get it hot again.Surekhaji please chai garma dijiye ye Republic hai Shashan nahi.
Happy Democracy in a (Non) Republic state.

Namaskar Bhaiya,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, it was very difficult to go through ur blog because I think, u have never taken the use of punctuations very seriusly in our grammar class. The beginning and end of the article is very interesting. In a republic, people are the most powerful body and this is very true in our case also. But, it is just the lack of awareness of its importance that we are suffering from.
thanks Ashish for your comments....I knw I am pathetic not only in punctuation (I knw only comma and full stop )but also in grammar as well; but, I think that's only reason why I feared to write my thoughts, which I feel more worse a thing if I don't do.I think this is so big for me even to read..God knows how I have written it.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that you are hopeful and which makes our nation more powerful.Just go through once more(ya that's a pain :)) you will find that I am not far from your thinking just giving a bitter pill.tc
Bitter but true analysis of the republic of India. But, I think there is nobody else to blame than ourselves for that. We are the people who really allow these people to rule us by not reallizing the power of vote. Irony is that most of the people who are able to understand the situation (so called educated people) don't even care to cast their vote.
ReplyDeleteKeep on writing, language should not be a barrier.
thanks Abhishek for your comment...be fair what you feel..I appreciate that too..
ReplyDeleteAbout republic, yes, It's we who can make it Republic..as the one whom we blame are one of us, they cant do anything if we cast fair and reasonable vote (till Election commission is the most honest Dept.)
I liked your thought Crazychider..... As others have mentioned, fairly true analysis of our republic.
ReplyDeletethanks Sandeep bhai...I liked when sb likes any of 'my' things. :)
